  Truly a "Diamond in the rough". Reminiscent of the Seinfeld episode "Soup Kitchen". Asian husband wife team cranking out better American grill fair than we've had anywhere in the area.
  
  Great owner-diner, working tirelessly putting 2 children through college.
  
  Con: They desperately need another Waiter and bus boy to help them out. The wait times can be too long.

  Sunny's is a diner experience modeled after a diner from the 1950's. Fast service with excellent menu choices. The brewed iced tea is always great, never bitter. My personal favorite is the BLT with extra bacon and our kids love the blueberry topped pancakes. Great family breakfast place to go and, of course, great diner coffee. Hope to see you there soon!

  I love Sunny's Diner. Not for everyone, if you require coddling, yes it can get busy. You may from time to time wait. You may not get akknowledge a quickly as you like. I have experienced that personally! Best coffee! Friendly on site ownership. Mom & Pop like place. No shortage of return customers.

  Friendly staff, great service, good diner food at good prices. Convenient to Umpstead State Park.... Honestly don't want anyone else to know about this little gem, it's one of my favorite brunch places
