  Probably great for Raleigh, pretty mediocre in fact. Souse in one of dishes had really burned and bitter taste, water had taste like it came from old pipe ( It is not cool when water has iodine taste). Being creative in food doesn't means you should not care about overall experience and quality.
  And yes menu on walls is not cool, it is stupid.. And not comfortable for people who sitting next to wall with menu. Want make it cool - Do that chalkboard surface on tables and put glass on it...
  And cocktails, skip them... They are between bad and mediocre.
  This place doesn't deserve its hype. Does it even has chef?

  Absolutely delicious from start to finish. Get the Macaroni side for the table, always. Great service and great menu. James Beard Award winning restaurant via Ashley Christensen (also responsible for Chuck's Burgers, Fox Liquor Bar, Beasley's Chicken and Honey).

  So fresh. I had an avocado salad that was absolutely DIVINE!!! Mac and cheese is tasty but fair warning is that its rich. Staff was friendly and lovely.

  Another amazing restaurants by Ashley Christensen. The diner vibe is a lot of fun. The food is out of control. If you love the kind of mac and cheese that has the crispy cheese crust over the top, Poole's mac and cheese is a must. It can definitely feed more than one person. I've never had a bad cocktail or glass of wine here. It's often busy from open to close, so be prepared to wait. But well worth it. Also, check out the awesome "all are welcome" mural on the side of the building.
