  I really enjoy the ale house, I go to all of the ale houses in the triangle. But this one seems to be the problem child of the bunch. I can understand the need for security such as the wake forest location to keep the atmosphere safe and free of issues. Yet this location has turned into Walmart with a special greeter at the door that needs to check the receipt that you generally leave on the table, or you may not leave until your server verifies your payment. Sub par quality, short staffed, and a bouncer. Good job fall of neuse.

  The food here is pretty good but the service leaves a lot to be desired. The waiter took our order and delivered our drinks, and that was the last week saw of him until another waiter delivered our food. We had to ask for refills and napkins and after we received that we didn't see him again until he dropped off our check. He didn't offer refills, dessert, or to go boxes. My coworker had to go to another table just to get ketchup because we couldn't find our waiter. Overall his service was a 0 but the food raised up the rating to a 2.

  The Carolina Ale House is a good choice for good food, lots of TVs and generally good staff and atmosphere. Sometimes they've got whatever primary game on blasting loud, but it's a sports bar, so sometimes you just have to expect that. Some of the waitresses have been slow or vanish for long periods of time. That's why I'd suggest sitting at the bar, you'll get quick and good service there, but it fills up. They need to bring back "The Big Spicy" sandwich. Their Greek salad is good, and the Triple B burger is always a safe bet for tasting good.
